Its Time for a Smoke Break....

Today's offering is from the always sweet, always busy Jane Dupree. We at Studio 1403 have known her for a very long time and she is one of the harder working DJs around Nashville (as opposed to the majority lazy rock star fucks with herpes) Anyways, Smoke Break Volume 4 finds Ms Dupree basically throwing the kitchen sink of sound into a half hour of a mix. You get sirens, breaks, 4 on the floor, buzzy baselines, lo fi vocals, ghetto chants... you get my drift. This is the perfect mix for the middle of the week when you just can't seem to wake up and that double shot espresso coffee no soy latte crap thing you order at Starbucks ain't workin. By the way, she also runs Disco Terror Squad, a blog about music where they actually don't talk shit about the artists. Interesting concept.

Viva La Paul Anthony

The hot boy playin the maracas above is none other than Paul Anthony. You know he shakes that shit with precision too... I mean he is rockin the square rimmed coke bottles with those blue and pink fibers. Anyways, this cholo left el barrio to come down to ole swell Nashville and play some rekkids for us. This is a perfect example of how you blur the lines between ghetto and electro and also sprinkle in some house classics... Chicano Stylee ese....

Release - Mixed By Aaron Ochoa

Once upon a time, way back in the day, our resident con man and house music beater Aaron Ochoa swindled Smirnoff Liquor out of a couple of cases of booze. Leave it to the AO to civilize my tastes... I thought Thunderbird and Mad Dog 20/20 was top shelf for years until going on a smirnoff vodka tear for a few months. Anyways, when the dust settled and I was cleared of all charges, I came to find out that AO did a mixtape for these guys. Listening to it today reminded me of how far the man ran the gamut on house music with tracks from himself, Paul Johnson, DJ Skip, Iz & Diz, and Derrick Carter. I think I'm gonna make myself a raspberry infused screwdriver for breakfast now.

The Fight For Your Mind is NOW!

Alex Jones has been preaching conspiracy theories for the better part of 2 decades. His radio show at infowars.com and prisonplanet.com reach millions a day, and his rants are infamous.

Jones tirelessly fights against the New World Order and the gov't/corporate puppets who want to control your mind. His documentary films, which have garnered millions of hits on the web cover everything from the Federal Reserve to 911 Truth to FEMA Camps. They are becoming legendary.

The problem is: What were once called conspiracies are now exposed as TRUTH.

TSHTF (the shit is hitting the fan).

Provocative, animated, and a man who knows his shit--Alex Jones is taking on the fight for your mind!

So get off the couch sheeple and give the man a hand!

... and to continue the Ghetto Parade...

Today's offering is a lil dig in the archives. Back in 2008, DJ Slugo brought a sack full of ghetto down to Nashville, cut it up raw and dealt it to all us kids. When he was done, there was a couple of blunt roaches, a sip of Alize left and booty juice all over the walls. Enjoy.
